In 2015, the Bayard Taylor Memorial Library was renamed to Kennett Library. After years of fundraising and planning, a new, much larger building was built as a replacement for the much smaller previous library from 1961. The new library includes maker spaces, meeting rooms, and an auditorium. It officially opened on August 27, 2023.

Kennett High School, located in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, underwent extensive renovation in 2006 and 2007. The upgrade involved a science wing, a stadium, upgrade of the baseball and soccer field, and a new concession building. In addition, old Kennett Middle School was relocated to a new facility.
